CHICAGO--()--AAM Insurance Investment Management (AAM) is pleased to announce the promotion of Dan Byrnes to the newly created role of President, effective March 1, 2025. In this capacity, Byrnes will report to Chairman and CEO John Schaefer, oversee the Portfolio Management team, and continue his direct engagement with clients as a Portfolio Manager.

"Throughout his career, Dan has partnered with clients to understand their objectives and designed portfolios to meet and exceed those objectives. Under Dan's leadership as President, AAM will maintain its client-centric culture that features listening, advising, and collaborating with clients as a trusted partner."

Byrnes joined AAM in 2003 and has served as a Portfolio Manager since 2006, working with numerous Property & Casualty, Health, and Life insurance clients. He has also been instrumental in establishing AAM as a thought leader within the Government Risk Pool sector.

"I enjoy working with clients to create a portfolio strategy that meets their needs, then collaborating with my colleagues at AAM to deliver on that strategy," Byrnes commented. "I am excited to lead this process across the firm."

Before joining AAM, Byrnes worked as an accountant at CNA Insurance. He holds a CFA Charter and is a member of the CFA Society of Chicago. Byrnes earned a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
