PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. (BBH) is pleased to announce the expansion of its Philadelphia office with the addition of Alex Rohr. Rohr joins the growing Corporate Advisory and Banking team as a Managing Director to help the region’s private business owners, wealthy families, and local endowments, foundations, and non-profit institutions through objective, actionable advice to help them accomplish their business and personal goals.
“We welcome Alex to our team, which is growing in number and capability to meet the evolving needs of private business owners in our region,” said Joe Chott, Philadelphia Office Head. “We will continue to invest in the people and expertise to best serve our clients.”
“We're thrilled to have Alex join our experienced team,” said Matt Levering, who leads BBH’s Corporate Advisory and Banking practice in Philadelphia. “Alex’s extensive middle market transaction background will be a valuable asset to our clients and private business owners across the region. Alex will be an objective thought partner to our clients as they navigate their most critical business decisions.”
With more than 20 years of experience in the M&A industry, Rohr joins BBH from Merion Investment Partners, a lower middle market private debt and equity investment fund. His responsibilities included new deal analysis, structuring and underwriting of investments, portfolio management, and serving in a board capacity for portfolio companies with a particular focus on health care and business services.
"I’m excited to join the strong BBH Corporate Advisory team in Philadelphia at this time of tremendous growth,” Rohr said. "I'm looking forward to working closely with my colleagues to deliver strategic and objective advice to the business owners of the region."
Rohr began his M&A career with the United States Department of Justice examining corporate mergers and acquisitions for anti-competitive effects. Throughout his career, he has built long-term relationships through his M&A profession and volunteering on boards in his community. Rohr earned an MBA from Villanova University and graduated cum laude from the University of San Diego with a B.A. in sociology and political science.
